Matt - AKA Warhammer-Fanatic

Ok, so I just have to brag at this point...

Journal Entry: Wed May 14, 2008, 2:19 PM
I have just worked out an army list for my Warhammer Dwarf army.

The army now has a phenominal number of units and it all comes to 4200 points of Fighty Goodness :D.

Orcs and Chaos, you have been warned.

:XD:   :D.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSORS:
JOSEF BUGMAN'S XXXX DWARF BREW...

Remember Fighty Goodness is to be taken cranially on a daily basis, see your nearest Orc Clan for details.

Must be taken as part of a combat controlled environment, your brains may be at risk should you fail your armour save!

My first ever TAG! Heh Heh Heh...

Journal Entry: Wed May 14, 2008, 10:25 AM
I've just discovered I've been tagged, so I guess I have to now list what I have to do followed by 8 things about myself... As for tagging others, I will probably have to think about that and tag them later...

~1. Post these rules.
~2. Each tagged person must post 8 things about their self on their journal.
~3. At the end, you have to choose and tag 8 people and post their icons on the same journal.
~4. Go to their pages and send a message saying you tagged them.
~5. No tag-backs.

1. The two tv shows I love (shown here in Britain on TV) are Takeshi's Castle, and Mythbusters!

2. I love to paint Games Workshop models and converting them.

3. I work as a document scanning administrator for a company that is part of the Insurance sector.

4. I love to write my own Warhammer 40,000 Fanfiction.

5. I love to take photos of the places I visit, and have many of them in my gallery as I love to share my experiences of these places :D.

6. I spend way too much time on my computer, but hey... don't we all! Most of the time I play Soulstorm, on there I am known as Jovek XVI as my profile name.

7. I am interested in the subject of Archaeology, and wanted to be an Archaeologist when I was younger, but shall we say my career goals were diverted in another direction, but I still have that dream! :D

8. I love films, alot of Science Fiction, Horror and Action, I particularly like anything by Tarantino, and I also love the first three Saw Films, the 4th in my opinion is a little weak, and I think I might give the 5th a miss at the cinema, but I may give it a go once its on DVD.

So there we are... 8 things about me...

I tag...

PREDATOR INFERNO UPDATE...

Journal Entry: Tue May 13, 2008, 1:01 PM
Hi...

Just to announce the latest images of my Predator Inferno are in my gallery showing the defacing of the Space Marine markings, although I have left the Purity seals, (Which I call in regards to Chaos, impurity seals, which will be painted in more daemonic related colours).

Any way, enjoy.

Ps. If they are not showing up immediately, please assume that they are taking time to process, as they are quite reasonably sized images.

Cheers.

W-F.

New Item in my Gallery...

Journal Entry: Fri May 9, 2008, 12:41 PM
Fury of the Warp pt3 is now up on my gallery. :D.

It introduces some new characters not seen in parts 1 and 2, this is where the story becomes, how shall I put it, grittier than before, and like I said, this is only the beginning! :D

At last the circle is complete!

Journal Entry: Sun May 4, 2008, 8:27 AM
From the realms of fantasy, to the dimension of reality, from the far distant future to the far distant past, Warhammer-Fanatic has finally gone full circle.

Ok, so I know what you are thinking... you're thinking "what the heck is he banging on about?" Well allow me to explain.

As you will no doubt be aware I am a fan of Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Fantasy Battles, well now I have come across something refreshing and new (it's been out a while but its new from my perspective as I've only learnt more about it)...

WARHAMMER HISTORICAL

Yes, on a recent visit to an exhibition held at Kensington Olympia up in London, I came across a stand with gaming tables dedicated to this gaming system.

I chose ancient battles, particularly that of the Roman Empire, as that is the period of history I am most fascinated by.

The Ancients Battle system is done in the same way as Warhammer, so if you play that particular game, you should be able to pick up this one.

Their more recent game... The Great War is more along the lines of 40K, and their game entitled, the High Seas (about pirates, if you didn't guess) is along the lines of the Lord of the Rings.

Ok, so I've given them a pretty decent plug, but I have to admit that I personally am impressed with what I have seen and heard, and the rule books are well written and produced as well.

So I would say if you were looking for something new in the way of Tabletop Wargaming, why not consider Warhammer Historical (also chances are there are more people who play that in certain gaming clubs rather than 40K or WFB).
