First off... well done if you got the titles reference*. I'll reveal it's significance at the base of this entry. The journal skin used is entitled Howling Wolf Journal Skin by the Deviant art member =savannahsage [link] I thought it most appropriate for this journal entry, so kudos to her and of course all the credit for the journal skin too!

Well... I've perhaps gone a little 40K crazy, but I am actually undertaking two, yes count them... two projects at exactly the same time.

The first is the Tzeentchian Dreadnought, which I am not going to paint as Iron Warriors, I've decided to make it fully Tzeentch (so expect to see lots of shades of blue and yellow). The second is something a little less like me, yes... I'm making some Space Wolves.

I acquired the Space Wolf marine kit (the one where you can make Wolf-Guard, Grey Slayers or Blood Claws) and I plan to make them up in the style of the Space Hulk Terminators, so one has a sword and stormbolter, the other has a thunderhammer and shield, another has a pair of lightnight claws... you get the picture, except that they are not terminators, they are regular marine models.

The plan is as follows:

1: To paint the models whilst still on the sprue, this of course is highly unorthodox and will be questioned by alot of fellow 40K gamers as to whether or not it is a good idea.

2: To construct them once painted using tools and equipment available to me in order to make them look right.

Any way, there is one other thing I've forgotten to mention in regards to these models, they are not going to be regular Space Wolves, I plan to paint them up in their old Pre-Heresy scheme. Therefore, the only helmets to appear in the group will be the two mark 6 "beaky" helmets, and the two that resemble wolf heads. These styles are typical in my mind of what would be deemed pre-heresy armour designes.

the rest of the squad will have bare heads, which will be painted in the same manner I painted my dwarf heads, especially with the approach I take to models with beards and other forms of facial hair.

So if you love Space Wolves, and would like to see an alternative take on their colour scheme, take a look, when I've finished.

The Dreadnought as well is almost ready for the final stages, I have a few little items I need to deal with, in order to ensure the model in question is fully ready to paint, for a start I need to undercoat it, plus I need to do a few things with the base, as it seems rather a bit bland at the moment, needs working on.

The Space Wolves I intend to do as diarama style thing, so I will get some LOTR movement trays, and will arrange the two units of five on a special base when I come to carry out the final elements of the project.

Any how, that's the latest update in regards to how I've been doing with all my 40K bits and projects. Things are going slowly, but surely.
